For the last 3 years, I have been a slave to my writing. I don't know why it started, but I haven't so much as taken a break from the cosmic creativity, I've been gifted. At this point my brain is screaming for a bit of peace, so I've decided to step back and read for a while.
Strange, I know. I'm sure people can write and read at the same time, but I couldn't pull myself away from my fantasy worlds. It was all about time constraints. Ones I put on myself.
Now, I'm not so rushed. So, I get to jump into other people's crazy. Lovely! It's been a long time since I read. The last book was Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. Not sure if it was book 10 or 11. I guess I'll have to go back and find out.
Right now I wanted some nonsense, so I downloaded the Castle books. Derek Storm and Nikki Heat. Ugh... On a more interesting note, I decided to read a book written by another indie author. Book one in a series; The Scribing of Ishitar, Fall From Grace.
It's really what I need right now. Gotta love Angels and Demons! I'm glad I can enjoy someone else's work for a change. I gotta go get in some quality time with my Kindle. See ya!
Pet info for the evening. Dog baths? Sure, it's something no one looks forward to, yet it's gotta get done. Some dogs don't need to be bathed often, others might need it every other week, like mine. I find, when they sit on your lap, the cleaner the better! The trick is to keep it quick and painless!
I'd like to state plainly that I'm no tech wizard. Am I adept at working with technology? Yes, but by no means do I have all the tricks in my repertoire.
Having to upload a PDF version of my manuscript to Amazon to get a hard copy made for Create Space, is by far the most frustrating thing ever! Why can't things be simple. B should follow A, and C should come after B. All this without having to go back before A and figure out how to change things! UGH!!!!!
I'm cooling my jets writing this blog. OK, maybe not cooling, but calming down a bit. I have no idea how to fix these issues. And that means I'm going to have to have them do it. GRRRRR!!!
Why can't things just be EASY?! I'll spend the rest of the night attempting to modify my manuscript, but I don't hold high hopes. I'll break down and grovel...
I just want to hold the book in my hand, ya know?
This is the time when I need an inspirational picture posted for me to wonder at.
As much as I'd love to keep bitching, I should bring this rant to an end and get back to work!
Quick pet info! Although, many myths show cats and kittens drinking milk, it's really not good for them. If you wish to give them something other than water, make sure it's lactose free milk.
We opened our self service dog grooming room today, and had our first customer.
Kimba was a good sport, although, you can clearly see he didn't enjoy the bath.

The sound of the blow dryer didn't even rattle him. I'm sure there'll be many more to come!
The room started slowly.
We needed to take out the shelving units.
The workmen came to build the room.
Then the tub went in.
What a beautiful set up.
Today's finished product. Just one more coat of waterproof paint.
On to some pet info. When giving a bath, make sure to brush dog first to remove any loose hair. Next, wet the entire dog, then dilute some shampoo with water. Pour mixture over dog and lather; either by hand or with a rubber curry. Rinse thoroughly, removing all the soap. Use blow dryer to knock off all the excess water, finalizing with a towel.
I refuse to talk about the snow. So, instead I think I'll just ramble. Ya know, something I'm good at. Nonsense. Spent all last night trying to set up my book on Amazon. My original company, Draft2Digital had problems with the giant, so it's do it yourself for me.
Tonight, I need to tweak a few things and try my hand at Create Space, so I can get the hard copies made. UGH! More trouble, instead of writing. My 5th book isn't going to write itself! Although, at the rate I'm going, it should try.
It only took me 2 years to the day basically, to write my first 4 books. I even made the video, or book trailer. This next book is getting no attention, as I'm so busy editing and marketing and learning. If I get a page in, here and there, it's a miracle!

That's the link to the video. It doesn't help that I work 6 days a week, or that I work until 7 at night. Not a whole lot of free time. I swear, if I was able to stay home, I'd never leave my house. I'd write all day, every day.
I can be a bit myopic. It's the OCD.
Yep. Kinda looks familiar. Oh, well... I better get to work!
I'm going for the pet info. Did you know even in the winter months you should give your pets Heartworm preventative. If you do happen to miss January, February, and March, you should have them tested at the Vet, before you give them the pills or chews. If you give them the preventative and they have Heartworm, you can kill them. That's not going to be good at all!
I'm dying. I just can't take another minute of this weather pattern. Snow, snow, snow, and more snow. Really? I might as well stay outdoors and shovel continuously. AHHHHH!
I'm losing it for sure! Why, oh why, can't I live in Florida? Oh, yeah... No jobs. Why, oh why, am I not wealthy? Didn't get into the lucky sperm club.
Some swimmers get all the cash. I was born into talent instead. Along with devilish good looks, of course. Although, I could have been born into money and been butt ugly. Nothing money can't fix.
See. Had work done? Buff!
Or it could all go horribly wrong. Scary, just scary!
Yep... I'm good.
Or, it could be perfect!
Let's do pet info! When it's too cold outside, our pets don't get enough exercise. Give them things to keep them busy. Nothing like a bit of kitty yoga.
Another snow storm, another day feeling like crap. In my younger days, shoveling was great fun; wonderful exercise. Hum... Not so much anymore. I'm friggen beat!
I've been trying to get some book work done, but find myself staring of into space. LOL... Can you say cold, overworked brain damage? It just happened again. I hope it doesn't take me hours to write this tonight.
Que more wine! Although, if I drink more while I stare at this, I could become even more insane. I'm in trouble.
I need something else to look at: STAT! Yeah... No, that's not going to work. I haven't had dinner yet, and now I'm not hungry.
I need something to believe in. The ol' standby... A lovely smile; perhaps some laughter.
I think I'll have a double shot. Better already!
How about some helpful information about pets? OK... Here goes. During the winter having ample chews for your dogs is important too keep them busy. Without exercise, there's a lot of pent up energy and the house is more likely to get destroyed. A chew (bully stick, moo tube, flossie, or raw bone) will give them something else to concentrate on.
Are we ready for some football? What's the whole attraction about the game? I'm not a fan of gladiatorial sports. HEY! Let's beat the shit out of each other... Nah. I don't get it.
There are many species that spar. Just look at the Bighorn sheep.
A bit more majestic, perhaps, but the same results. And now giraffes.
Kind of scary when animals do it. Although, if we got down on the field, and faced the men in special padding...
Ouch! Not something I'd like to experience first hand. Looks kinda painful, for sure. I'd be crushed like a bread crumb.
The other side to the Super Bowl is the food and drink. Yes, it's time to celebrate while others get their brains knocked out.
Is this your party? I find it oddly desirable, yet a gastro disaster. Monday will have everyone wishing they were dead!
Foaming anyone? Good luck!
Let's move along to pet info, shall we? How many times a day should you feed your pets? Rule of thumb is puppies, 3 time, unless you can only manage 2. Adult dogs, only need to eat once a day, but big dogs can have their meals split up. Once in the morning, then once at night.
