February 17, 2014 Insane Wine Infuse Ramblings "Ah, Money. Either You Have It, or You Don't"

And the sun shined today! Is it a promise of better days? While the temps are still low, the bountiful sunshine fills me with hope.

I watched it from the window. LOL! As my day off is always filled with the mundane. Cleaning, laundry, dog baths, etc.

Everybody should own one. Life would be SO much easier. But alas, I have not the power to rise above the mortal veil.

Which is why I disappear into the recesses of my disturbed mind. Keeps me out of trouble. Although, I am a bit more disturbed at my new cost of creating a hard copy of my book on Amazon.

Perhaps a friendly kickstarter? What say you friends?

Pet info for the evening. For those of you who live in the north, it's not quite time to begin the use of Frontline, or K9 Advantix. As soon as the temps reach over 32 degrees for 10 days, then it's time. It's just around the corner. (I hope). Perhaps someone could help you apply it.

February 15, 2014 Insane Wine Infused Ramblings "Let the Sun Shine"

Yet another winter snowstorm has set upon me. Good Gods! I can't take it. I'm just gonna pretend nothings happening out there.

Thank you, I needed that! I spew words like, "KILL ME", "SHOOT ME", all day long. My shovel is cracking from OVERUSE!

I never wanted to be anyone's BITCH, but it's looking better every day. Anyone want to take me to a warmer, tropical climate?

It'll only take me a few minutes to pack... LOL!

Pet info! Cats are obligate carnivores. What that means is, the need protein, without much else but water. Dry kibble is NOT waht they need. It is understandable that it's easier to feed it to them, and once they get used to it, it turns into an addiction. Can food, or raw food is truly the best. If you feed dry, try not to give them more than 1/4 cup a day.

February 14, 2014 Insane Wine Infused Ramblings "I Can't Remember What I Forgot"

The older I get, the more I'm sure my brain is misfiring. I don't understand how things that can be a daily routine for me can be totally forgotten. And don't you blame it on the wine! I only have a little bit every night. I can't even blame it on drugs. I didn't do any when I was younger. This is just brain damage, pure and simple.

I need something exciting to happen. I'll admit, I'm all about the habits. I do everything exactly the same way every day. Does that make me sound boring? Of course it does. Which is why I need something to shake me up every now and again.

I need to do something wild and crazy. Yeah… But I sure as hell won't wear those pants.

The outfit makes the experience. Wonder how long can get away with that?! Not going butt naked...

People would surely believe I have lost my mind.

Pet info. Did you know, if your dogs insisted on your attention and you ignored them, eventually they would shut up and go lay down? Give it a try. You'll be surprised how well it works for you. Your dogs have learned that making noise or being in your face gets them the attention they want. By ignoring them, they will learn that unwanted behavior doesn't get rewarded by your attention. Unless of course they have to go outside to go to the bathroom, then by all means let them out!

February 13, 2014 Insane Wine Infused Ramblings "What in a Word? (or a few)"

I'm incredibly glad there aren't any Ancient Mayans, or any Ancient Egyptians around anymore. If there were, I'm sure they'd be screaming at me. I've been transcribing what I can for my current book.

Egypt Rising deals with Earth's origins, so our early languages will play a large part in it.

Of course, there's a great deal of guessing, too. (Hey, I'm working by the seat of my pants, here)! But since I won't be using hieroglyphs, it's even harder. I need to turn the symbols into readable English. Yeah, ugh.

I've seen "Lord" in Mayan as Ajaw or Ahaw. I had to pick one.

So, the reasoning here is pick the one I like the best and will fit into the story better. It's a toss of the dice, kinda like pot luck.

On to pet info. Did you know that cats and dogs can trace their lineage back to the ancient world? An Egyptian Goddess was in the image of the cat, Bastet. Ancient Egyptian Mau.

February 12, 2014 Insane Wine Infused Rambling "Comic Art"

I'm in the mood to talk about comic art. Why? 'Cuz I used to draw, before my eyes, and age betrayed me. My favorite comic artist was John Byrne. He had such an attention for detail.

My favorite character. Phoenix, or Dark Phoenix. Whichever! She was so kick-ass.

But I also loved Vision. Always the voice of reason. I started drawing comic characters when I was 17. Some of my first were of the X-Men. I loved those stories.

Magneto. The villain you loved to hate. Recently, I illustrated some characters in my books.

                                         Danny Sutters

                                             Ilmartutar

                                           The cover I did...

Now, the cover my illustrator did...

Yes, I know, his is better! Gotta love a professional! So, it's fun to look back at what I did. If I'm not good at recreating art, at least I can enjoy the work.

Pet info for the evening. If any of you have cats or dogs that throw-up often, think about getting some Manuka Honey. I tiny spoonful each day will stop the nasty behavior. Give it a try!

I was told to end each blog with a kitty!

February 11, 2014 Insane Wine Infused Ramblings "In Memory of Shirley Temple"

I can't let tonight's blog go by without talking about Shirley Temple. She was a wonderful child actress. So full of herself as far as confidence!

She was a spitfire! When my daughter was young my mother entered her into a Shirley Temple look-a-like contest and she won! She was on TV for a singing bit. I remember watching her with all the other girls, as she innocently pushed them out of the way so she could be camera front.

LOL! She was a ham all her life! What a cutie! She was so distressed this morning when she heard the news. I understand her sorrow, but Shirley had a long life.

She still had her wonderful smile.

I'll always remember her with fondness.

This is my most loved attitude! I spent many days with my daughter emulating this same angry face.

                                            Rest In Peace

Pet info... Allergies, allergies, allergies. People come in everyday telling me their dog is itchy. It's either environmental, or food related. First thing, take away anything that could be an allergen, in the food, or biscuits. All wheat, soy, corn, and by-products. If that doesn't work, try to go grain free. The next step would be change proteins. Some dogs can't have chicken, others can't have beef, or lamb, so try them 2 weeks at a time. Good luck!

February 10, 2014 Insane Wine Infused Ramblings "What To Do Next?"

Would it be a bother for me to ask all or one of you to just wake me when winter's over? I can't bring myself to go outside. It's too cold, too slippery, too damn depressing!

Smiles everyone, smiles! I've just gotta fake it. Although, I'd jump at the chance for a trip to Fantasy Island. Happy endings all around. I could use one, right about now.

I'm not happy when things are out of my control. I don't like relying on 2nd parties to get my work done, but sometimes I have no choice.

I'm still trying to get my hard copy onto Amazon, but I need to wait for them to help me. Not an easy task. There are files I need to manipulate. Oh well... Not gonna get anywhere griping.

I'll just move along to something else. Maybe the edit of book 2? Sounds like a plan.

                                      King Triton anyone?

OK, I'm on it. I would love to get the next book out. I just don't have a cover yet.

Let's bring it to pet info for the evening. Dogs seem to hurt themselves from a number of outside forces. It's always a good idea to have some form of painkiller on hand for those occasions. Metacam is a liquid that's easily administered through a syringe into the mouth. It's a anti-inflammatory/painkiller without dangerous side effects. You can get it from your Vet, or online.
